According to NAN, Lagos State Government will prosecute all those who attended Saturday’s birthday party hosted by Nollywood star, Funke Akindele Bello.
The state Attorney-General, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) has confirmed this on Monday that they would be prosecuted for flouting social distancing regulation of the state.
He made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly after an Ikeja chief magistrates’ court convicted and sentenced Akindele and her husband for flouting the regulation.
The attorney-general said that efforts were being intensified to arrest all those who attended the party held on Amen Estate in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. According to him, all the attendees will be made to face the full wrath of the law. “Once they are apprehended, they will face charges.

“Today, the state charged two people to court for violating the Infection Disease Regulation of Lagos State Government. They pleaded guilty and the court has sentenced them to pay a fine of N100, 000 each, to observe community service for 14 days and to be kept in isolation in a place to be decided by the Lagos State Ministry of Health,” he said.

Lagos Police confirms Arrest of Officers Who Killed Suspected Robbers

The Lagos State Police Command has said it has arrested four of its officers seen on video, killing two suspected robbers in their custody,  NAN  is reporting. Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,  Bala Elkana , in a statement on Wednesday confirmed the arrest of the policemen. In the video that went viral on social media, one of the police officers is seen telling the others to give way so he can “kill” them. He afterwards pulled the trigger killing the suspects who were already handcuffed and put inside the bus the officers used for the operation. Elkana, in his statement, said: Attention of Lagos State Police Command was drawn to a video on social media showing some Police officers shooting two unarmed suspects who were arrested and already in their custody against the code of professional conduct and laws guiding how suspects in Police custody should be treated.
