On Saturday April 18, President Muhammadu Buhari delivered a personal tribute to Abba Kyari, his late Chief of Staff who passed away from COVID-19 complications on Friday. The tribute was released by his spokesman, Garba Shehu and also on the official twitter handle of the Presidency. Everyone Who Attended Funke Akindele Bello’s Party To Appear In Court

According to NAN, Lagos State Government will prosecute all those who attended Saturday’s birthday party hosted by Nollywood star, Funke Akindele Bello. The state Attorney-General, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) has confirmed this on Monday that they would be prosecuted for flouting social distancing regulation of the state. He made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly after an Ikeja chief magistrates’ court convicted and sentenced Akindele and her husband for flouting the regulation. The attorney-general said that efforts were being intensified to arrest all those who attended the party held on Amen Estate in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. Nigeria Begins “Immediate Cash Transfer” To Poorest Households Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, says the ministry has commenced cash transfer to poorest households in the country to cushion effect of the coronavirus pandemic. According to The Cable, the minister said this during a press briefing by the presidential task force on the disease in Abuja, on Monday. Farouq said the ministry has commenced advance payment of conditional cash transfer to the poorest households in the country. She also said the vulnerable group will also be expanded to consider more persons during the infection period.

COVID-19: 2Baba, Jim Ovia, Seun Agbaje And More Donate Funds Towards Combating Pandemic

The Federal Ministry of Health has unveiled the list of several funds donated by the private sector, individuals and federal government in the fight against COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This development comes a day after many Nigerian demanded to know who was in charge of the collection and disbursement of the donated funds for the treatment of the virus. The list include giant establishments such as Access Bank, Zenith Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank who gave N1 billion each with facilities for isolation center, while the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) gave N11 billion. Other individuals who donated N1billion each include,  Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Femi Otedola, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Herbert Wigwe, Segun Agbaje, Tim Ovie  and  Dr Paul Eneche  who gave N2 billion worth of materials,   Atiku Abubakar  with N50 million and N10 million from  Tuface Idibia . A burn victim who survived a gas explosion has shared photos of her transformation to celebrate her birthday. Yinka Matthews suffered the burn on June 8, 2013, when a gas cylinder in her kitchen exploded when she was trying to cook. Her body was badly burned in the fire and she was in a coma for 2 days. When she regained consciousness, she contemplated suicide and begged the doctor to inject her with a substance that'll kill her. Today, she's well and her skin shows no signs of the burns she once suffered.
